Official banking and payment sources — Review overdue
Review overdue: Links were screened on 9 August 2026, but the page remains overdue pending acceptance and rollout-day checks. Official sites can change without notice.
Use the source that owns the rule or service. A listing or link is not an endorsement, availability promise or suitability assessment.
Regulators and official registers
- Bank of Thailand — central bank and supervisor for the financial-institution, payment and foreign-exchange matters within its remit.
- BOT regulated financial-service provider check — verify the provider and licence category; confirm that the service offered falls within that category.
- BOT payment systems — payment-system role, supervision and operation.
- BOT PromptPay — infrastructure, registration outline and BOT standard fee ceiling.
- BOT exchange-control regulation — current consolidated summary and links to notices/circulars.
- BOT Notifications 23/2569 and 24/2569 — controlling Thai-language circular and Q&A for phased service-fee standards effective 1 July, 1 September and 1 October 2026. No controlling English text was located; obtain qualified advice for interpretation.
- Deposit Protection Agency — coverage amount, aggregation and payment framework.
- DPA protected depositors and protected financial products — verify depositor, product, currency and institution.
- Anti-Money Laundering Office — AML/CFT authority. Obtain qualified Thai advice before interpreting duties or thresholds for a specific transaction.
The SEC English landing page returned 403 during the rollout-day check and is therefore omitted rather than used as support.
Help, complaints and fraud
- BOT help and complaints / telephone 1213 — enquiries or complaints involving providers within BOT's remit. Contact your bank's verified fraud channel first if an account or payment is at immediate risk.
- AOC 1441 — report suspected technology-enabled financial fraud through the official AOC channel; immediately contact the relevant bank as well.
- ETDA 1212 — online/cyber complaint assistance.
- Tourist Police 1155 or emergency services where personal safety is at risk. Confirm the current channel from the authority's official site.
Bank tariffs and service availability
Use the selected bank's own current tariff, product page, branch locator and security page. Record product, version/effective date and check date. Do not infer eligibility, service availability or a fee from a generic bank landing page.
- SCB — interest rates and fees — tariff rows show their own announcement and effective dates.
- Krungsri — fees and charges — use the exact product document and effective date.
Bangkok Bank and KBank fee links in the approved draft did not return a usable rollout-day response and are omitted. Their absence is not a finding about either bank; use the selected bank's verified official channel.
Source boundaries
National ITMX operates payment infrastructure, but BOT rules and the customer's bank terms control the consumer-facing proposition. Commercial comparison or transfer sites are not authorities. Foreign embassies and foreign tax authorities address their own nationals/jurisdictions and do not determine Thai banking law.
Thailand Expat Services provides general information and independent enquiry/referral coordination only. A referral may be compensated; ask before consenting. Do not send sensitive documents until the recipient, purpose, retention and transfer basis are clear.
Links screened: 9 August 2026; BOT service-fee instrument added 4 September 2026; repeat quarterly.
Professional review: Not performed. No qualified Thai banking, financial-compliance, AML, tax, privacy or legal approval.
Page governance: last_reviewed: 2025-01-20 and the overdue warning are retained pending independent acceptance.
