Immigration steps after arrival

Start with the permission and permitted-until date recorded by Immigration. A visa's validity is not the same as permission to stay.

90-day address report

Check whether the reporting duty applies to your uninterrupted stay and use the current Immigration instructions for the submission method. The current online guide says an online report may be submitted within 15 days before the next due date. Do not apply that window to mail or in-person reporting; those methods have their own instructions. Leaving and re-entering can change the reporting calculation—confirm the next due date with Immigration.

TM30 accommodation report

Section 38 places the reporting duty on the house owner, head of household, possessor or hotel manager, generally within 24 hours. Travellers should confirm that the responsible accommodation party has completed the current Immigration process; individual responsibility and evidence can be fact-specific.

Re-entry, extension and status changes

These are separate applications. Before departure or filing, obtain the current Immigration form, evidence, fee, office and effect for the permission actually held. Do not assume a re-entry permit extends a stay or that an extension will be granted.

Work

Immigration status and permission to work are distinct. Obtain case-specific Department of Employment or qualified advice before performing work or services in Thailand.

TDAC

TDAC is a pre-arrival requirement for each entry under the rule effective 1 May 2025; it does not replace any after-arrival obligation. Use only the free official TDAC portal.

Do not send identity, financial or immigration documents through a general enquiry form. Optional referrals are to independent providers; compensation may be received and must be disclosed before transfer. No filing or outcome is guaranteed.
